A rich, delicious “instant” hot chocolate brightened by a touch of mint and comforting vanilla and infused with the beneficial healing properties of medicinal mushrooms and maca root.
Raw cacao has the highest antioxidant level of any food on the planet and is high in protein, beneficial fats, vitamins and minerals, magnesium, vitamin C, and natural sulfur. It’s pleasantly relaxing, imparting a sense of well being, and the taste is similar to unsweetened baking chocolate, slightly bitter and deliciously rich. Mushroom Harvest’s powdered organic mushroom blend has been formulated with 14 mushrooms traditionally used to support the immune system and to encourage overall health. Maca root is naturally high in minerals (calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc), sterols (6 found), up to 20 essential fatty acids, lipids, fiber, carbohydrates, protein, and amino acids. It’s highly nutritive and is traditionally used to increase energy, vitality, promote mental clarity, as an aphrodisiac, and as a remedy for hormone imbalances.
Blended all together, you’ve got a powerhouse hot chocolate! To make, whisk a tablespoon with a cup of your favorite warm milk, and sweeten as desired. You can also blend the hot chocolate mix and warmed milk in a blender – just make sure your blender top is vented. We especially love the delicious bits that might settle to the bottom of your cup!
NOTE: Maca does not actually contain hormones but it also has not been tested during pregnancy so we can not know if it is completely safe for use during pregnancy. It is said the Peruvians consume maca during pregnancy with no problems, but to be safe we suggest to not use maca during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
